Terms for customers

Using TapDibs

TapDibs Ltd. lets you lock an offer to your identity and redeem it at the business. TapDibs never charges customers, processes purchases or holds sale money. You pay the business directly on its own payment processor. There is no wallet, escrow or checkout.

Age of majority

You must be the age of majority in the province or territory where you live to hold a TapDibs account — that is 18 in Alberta and some provinces, and 19 in others.

Alberta law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. You and TapDibs agree that any dispute will be decided by the courts of Alberta, sitting in Calgary. Nothing in these terms takes away protections that your province's or Canada's consumer law gives you and that cannot legally be signed away — those protections stay yours.

Your account

Create one account with accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. Do not impersonate someone else or bypass offer limits. Creating your account records your agreement to these customer terms and customer privacy policy once; you are not asked again at sign-in or on later visits.

Your locked offers

A successful Dib saves the offer terms at the moment you lock it. Later promotion edits do not change that promise. Once a Dib is claimed it is guaranteed: its terms are frozen at the moment of the tap, no business can cancel it, and it stands until it is redeemed or its own timer runs out. A promotion ending — in any mode, including expiry mode — never shortens, cancels or changes a Dib that has already been claimed. Review its location, conditions and exact expiry. Your Dib belongs to your identity, can be used once and must be redeemed before it runs out. A Dib not redeemed by its end time is lost, and an unused expired Dib gives no entitlement to a saving.

Approving redemption

Review the bill, discount and final amount on your phone before you approve. The discount is applied before you pay the business on its own terminal. An abandoned, failed or cancelled redemption does not use your Dib; it remains available until its own expiry.

Account choices

You can change your postal home area and business-message choices in Account. Closing your account removes your name and email, ends live Dibs and signs you out permanently. Past money records remain anonymous. You may create a fresh account later.

Availability and your rights

Access cannot be guaranteed without interruption. Misuse or security risks may result in restrictions. Nothing here removes rights that cannot be waived under applicable law. Material document changes will be communicated where required by law.

Rewards

A business can reward you with a Dib: automatically when you reach the number of Dibs it has chosen at that business, or as a gift it sends you. The reward's deal and expiry are shown in My Dibs, and you redeem it at the Till like any other Dib. A reward cannot be transferred and has no cash value. A business sees only your activity at that business.
