Terms for businesses
Your business on TapDibs
TapDibs Ltd. provides promotion publishing, identity-bound offer locking and redemption records. TapDibs never processes your customer sales or holds sale money. You collect purchases using your own payment processor.
Age and authority
You must be the age of majority in the province or territory where you live — 18 in Alberta and some provinces, 19 in others — with authority to bind the business, to open or run a business account.
Alberta law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. You and TapDibs agree that any dispute will be decided by the courts of Alberta, sitting in Calgary. Nothing in these terms takes away protections that your province's or Canada's consumer law gives you and that cannot legally be signed away — those protections stay yours.
Business responsibilities
Keep your business information, locations, content and offers accurate and lawful. You must have permission to publish uploaded material, comply with advertising, consumer and privacy laws, provide the promised goods or services and honour valid saved Dib terms until their expiry. Editing or ending a promotion does not rewrite existing locks. A business that offers locks must honour every claimed Dib: its terms are frozen at the moment of the tap and it stands until it is redeemed or its own timer runs out. You may not cancel or change a claimed Dib; cancelling a claimed Dib is a breach of these Business Terms. A promotion ending — in any mode, including expiry mode — must never shorten, cancel or change a Dib that has already been claimed. Breaking this rule can lead to your business being suspended or removed from TapDibs.
Till and staff
Use the Till to validate a customer token or start a live session. The customer must approve the bill, discount and final amount before a Dib is redeemed. Apply the discount before authorizing payment on your own terminal. Protect owner access, staff permissions and Counter service codes; do not guess a locked device code.
Merchant fees and card on file
You agree to the monthly subscription, recorded-volume percentage and billing cadence shown for your business, including any applicable trial or business override. Keep a working card on file. Stripe handles only the $1 card verification — a temporary hold that is released; it is never a charge. Stripe does not process TapDibs payments. TapDibs's fees are charged to the card on file by TapDibs's own payment provider. TapDibs charges only its own merchant fees, never customer sale funds. Failed billing may pause promotions and prevent new promotions going live until resolved.
Taxes
All fees are plus GST/HST at the rate that applies to your business address.
Closing your business
Close your business from the Business page. Final recorded-volume fees must be settled before closure is completed. Business closure retains required financial and promotion history; it does not erase previously recorded outcomes.
Acceptance and availability
The owner accepts these business terms once before business or card setup. The identity, document version and time are saved as proof; acceptance is not requested again at sign-in or on later visits. Access cannot be guaranteed without interruption, and misuse may lead to restrictions. Nothing here removes non-waivable legal rights. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
Rewards
You can reward Dibbers with a Dib. For automatic rewards you set the count of Dibs redeemed at your business, the deal and the expiry; you can also send a reward by choice. Sent rewards cannot be taken back. Changes to your reward settings apply from the moment you save them; rewards already sent and counts already earned do not change. Rewards are delivered only inside TapDibs.
